Level 49 ranger. Does it make sense to get an infernal shield? Just got my set of crystalfang armor but I still seem to get killed a lot, maybe the shield would help. I have melee and spell defense gems and one empty slot. Ranged defense? thanks for any advice.
What's on your mind?

One way to inprove this game is to make quests completable. For example: I am a lvl 23 mage and I am trying to do the quest "Best Left Alone." I'm at the stage where I am suspose to defeat the Arcane Protector. No way I can defeat him at the same lvl as he.My armor is to my lvl as best as cam be. I use food to increase my mage. I tried 3 times so far and cannot defeat him. If I wait to I'm about 4-5 lvls above him I might have a chance. But by then the armor given as a reward will be outdated and useless to me because better armor will be available. Having to wait for help is frustrating. I want to play the game not wait to play. I like to play solo. Its faster to play that way. I don't like waiting for help because by the time help arrives I have to quit the game and get back to reality. Frustrating quests. Maybe thats why so few people play the game. Can't beat the quests. Most of the players are either lvl 49 or some players play as high a lvl as the can before being unable to finish quests so they create a new charactor to play. I don't know I just wish I could complete quests that are the same lvl as me.
Ok, I've vented my frustration for now. Thanks for listening.
Hello, I'm new everyone. I am looking into prospecting as a significant use of my time. When I go into the forge, and prepare to make a copper bar for example, i have 2 options on the left side of the window ("Bar" and "Batch?" or "Bundle?" - one of those latter 2...
I know Bar means to create 1 bar, but what is that other option? Thanks anyone..
I just recieved a cracked opal with 66 spell defence rating and I am somewhat confused on how it works. When I place it in armor, does it grant me defence against npc/players who use their magic spells against me or does it work some other way?
When I complete a quest and I'm on the reward widget, it gives me the option to "cancel (choose later)". But after clicking choose later, I don't see how to choose, later. Anyone know?
The Wiki tells me what I can do with it but not where I can get it. A newbie, what can I say? :)
Now I know I just walked in, but I have been lurking around here for quite a while. Not that that really matters, though.
I have been using this wiki primarily for finding out where certain quests start, and for finding any quests I may have missed before I go to the next level's quest. (I always finish the lowest-level quests I have before doing other quests, as a way to level up quicker and avoiding old quests stacking up.) I usually find what I am looking, but sometimes, I find more than what I was looking for, which are details on the quest's walkthrough. I think some admin should implement a policy that requires walkthroughs to go into some kind of wiki variant of the well-known spoiler tags on forums, so that people who don't want to see spoilers don't have to.
How should we handle these items ? At Trapper's Atoll are nearly all gatherable items available, except Foraging tier 1+2 and Fishing tier 1.
I got screenshots from all of them, but I doubt that we should create extra pages for each smuggled good. They are all traded 1:1 at the Smuggled Goods Vendor and there's nothing else to say about.
Imho, I would just create a "Smuggled Items" category, add the pictures and category to the existing pages and create a page which describes the handling of these items.
Only two items need separated pages: Smuggled Gold and Smuggled Flake.
What do you think ?
I have now lost my entire post twice. This is somewhat frustrating and doesn't endear me to this forum software.

- "Kind of on-topic: I'm thinking the list here: Eldevin_Wiki:Community_Portal/Areas could be made into a proper article, called List of areas or whatever, so there would be a place that would give a quick overview of all areas + hidden areas sorted by level. The main Areas article we have is sorted by location and doesn't include everything (which is fine, the List could be a complementary article)."
Yes this looks like a good idea to me. I would think about the following possible improvements:
- If this is about level, then level should be the first column, like e.g. Category:Bosses, though not necessarily that specific layout. A simple borderless table might do just fine. You could then drop the "LVL" abbreviation which shouldn't be uppercase (it's not an acronym).
- Everywhere needs a level including Illaneska, Eldevin City etc. They have a place in the list that implies they have a level, so need one listed (see next point).
- Need to clarify what it means for an area to have a level e.g.
- level of quests in the area
- level of monsters in the area
- level below which you are not even allowed to enter
- anything else I forgot :)
So I might have a pre-amble like:
"This is a list of Areas by the level at which it is generally useful to first enter them. Some areas, such as Lost City of Garai will not allow you to enter unless you have reached a particular level, but most areas have no restriction. The levels for an area indicate the levels of quests and monsters that you find there. Some areas will be dangerous to enter if you are not at or near the recommended level, while others may be reasonably safe as long as you are careful. Read the pages for individual areas you are interested in to see how dangerous they might be."
I might also try and use say 5+ for Eldevin City to show that an area that remains generally useful after the lowest level. Whereas Brokenshore can be a plain 33 because all monsters are that level only.
I think I would also make each line have at least one link (even if it is red). For things like EC sewers you could have Eldevin Sewers, Level 3
Couldn't see: Diminutive City, Mythos Library Stacks
What are the criteria to tell an Area from a Hidden Area? In particular I'm thinking of Lost City of Garai and Garai Palace Terraces. There may be others I haven't reached yet that will feel similar. Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
I am doing the web of deceit quest and I am up to the bit where I have to get in to Mage Kimbles room to search the book case. It says I can get in through the window but when I try and go throung it from outside There is no green highlight thingy around the windows and I cant go through.
Is this a glitch/bug or am I just being stupid.
Thank you
